Picked a used Car-O-Liner over a new cheap frame rack

Had to choose between a used Car-O-Liner from 2018 for $8k or a brand new Chinese frame rack for $6k. I went with the Car-O-Liner and it's been rock solid for the 6 months I've had it. The measuring system alone is way more accurate than what I saw on the cheap one. Anyone else go used instead of new for big equipment?

lauras83 said "those cheap Chinese racks flex like crazy under load" and honestly that's not quite true across the board. Some of the cheaper ones do flex sure, but I've seen a few guys running the mid-tier Chinese racks that hold up just fine for collision work. The real issue is usually the pulling chains and clamps being junk on the cheap ones, not the frame itself bending. Still, your Car-O-Liner is probably way better built overall and that measuring system is gold. You made a smart call for sure.

Damn, 8 grand for a used Car-O-Liner? That's a steal honestly. I've seen those things go for double that in decent shape. The measuring system is no joke either, that's where the real money is. You definitely made the right call, those cheap Chinese racks flex like crazy under load.

Yeah man, that measuring system alone is worth it. Nice score.
