Aftermarket's fine if you check fit before paint and welding.

Don't forget about the inner structure behind the panel. Most people only look at the outer skin but if the crash bar or inner support is bent differently between OEM and aftermarket you could have a nightmare lining things up. I've seen aftermarket panels that look perfect on the outside but the spot weld holes are slightly off, making the whole door gap wonky. For a daily driver that's gonna see real weather and road salt, a bad seal from misalignment can cause rust way faster than any panel quality difference. Save yourself the headache of fighting with gaps on a customer's car and go OEM if the inner structure is also damaged.
