I started writing torque specs on the masking tape, and my comebacks fell from 4 a month to zero

Wrote my first torque spec on tape last week and felt like a genius until I realized I'd put it on the wrong side of the pan. My comebacks are still coming back but now at least I know the drain plug is supposed to be 18 ft lbs and not whatever my wrist felt like that day. Funny how a dumb piece of tape beats 15 years of "eh, tight enough." Still forget to write half of them down though so maybe I'm just organized in one spot and a mess everywhere else.
