Changed my mind about using filler on plastic bumpers after watching a YouTube video

I used to think filler was a waste of time on plastic bumpers, always went straight to sanding and painting. Then I saw a video from a guy in Texas who tested adhesion on a cracked bumper with and without flexible filler. He showed how the filler actually flexes with the plastic and prevents cracking later on. I tried it on a 2018 Honda Civic bumper last Tuesday and the finish came out way smoother than my usual method. Has anyone else had better luck using flexible filler on plastic parts?

Honestly, that Texas guy's video changed my whole approach too. I did my girlfriend's 2019 Corolla bumper with flexible filler and it turned out way better than when I used regular stuff on my old car. The finish stayed smooth and no cracks showed up even after a few months of daily driving.

Dude yes! @annas87 my buddy used that same stuff on his Mazda and it held up way better than mine.

Whoa, wait... I gotta disagree. Flexible filler has always peeled off on me in the heat, I'd rather just use the regular stuff and keep it thin.
