Back in '98, I was fighting a stubborn dent on a Ford fender for hours.
My old boss saw me struggling and told me to try a heat gun on low with a wet rag behind the panel. I was sure it would mess up the paint, but it popped right out without a mark. What's the oldest trick you learned that still works today?

My uncle taught me that trick on a '92 Chevy pickup. Honestly though, most dents now are on plastic bumpers where heat guns are useless. It feels like half the old methods don't apply to modern cars.

Ever notice how everything feels like it's built to be thrown away now? My dad could fix our old toaster with a screwdriver, but my new one is just smooth plastic with no screws at all. It's not just cars, it's like they design things so you can't even try to fix them yourself anymore. You just have to replace the whole piece.

Ugh, tell me about it. It's like they're scared we'll figure out the secret that their stuff is mostly empty space and cheap parts. I tried to open a coffee maker once and it was just a solid glued block. They don't make things to last, they make them to break right after the warranty ends. It's a whole business plan built on our trash.
