My mate's 2-minute take on Aussie meme pages killed my whole scrolling habit

Was chatting with my cousin Dave over a pint at the local in Geelong last Friday. He runs a small comedy channel and said most viral Aussie content is just recycled from overseas with a 'yeah nah' thrown over the top. That hit different because I've spent like 40 minutes a day on those pages for a year, laughing at stuff that apparently isn't even ours. So now I'm trying to only follow creators who actually film local stuff, like the bloke who caught that magpie stealing his chip in Sydney. Has anyone else checked if their favorite meme pages are actually making original content or just ripping it off?
