The feedback that made me stop over-processing my moon shots
Someone in a Facebook group told me my stacked lunar images looked 'like a video game' and it stung at first. I was doing 500 frames with heavy sharpening and they said to try just 50 frames with minimal tweaks. Now my shots look more natural and I actually get more likes and comments, what's your take on keeping it real vs going for that super crisp look?

@the_thomas exactly right, people connect with the real feel way more than the polished look. I did the same thing with my nature shots where I'd oversaturate everything and finally backed off when someone said they looked fake.

Man, I hear you on that! I stopped trying to completely erase every little texture in my woodworking photos and realized people actually like seeing the grain and slight imperfections because it looks real. Sometimes less processing just feels more honest and connects better with folks scrolling through.

Dude, the oversaturation thing is real lol. I had a buddy tell me my wood grain looked like candy and I was like oh no that's not good. Now I just bump the contrast a tiny bit and leave the shadows alone. People actually comment on the natural color more now than when I was cranking saturation. It's wild how we overthink this stuff.
