Last Tuesday gave me the best lunar photo I'll ever take

I set up my 8 inch dob in my backyard in Tucson around 9pm, just checking the terminator line near the crater Copernicus. The seeing was dead calm, no wind, and the shadows were so sharp I could see individual mountain peaks on the crater rim. Has anyone else had a random night where everything just lines up and you know you'll never beat that shot?

Read somewhere that those still nights usually happen right after a cold front passes through. Sounds like you caught the sky right after it got scrubbed clean. That kind of luck is why we keep hauling the scope out even on the sketchy nights.
