Just realized how much detail hides in a single deep sky photo

I was at a local astronomy club meetup last month and this older guy named Bob showed me his stacked image of the Orion Nebula. He zoomed in on one tiny corner and pointed out a faint streak that turned out to be a distant galaxy behind the nebula. Blew my mind because I always thought those Hubble shots were just pure color and light. Has anyone else stumbled across something unexpected in their own astrophotography?

Found a random galaxy hiding behind the Andromeda core once, total accident, still my favorite pic ever.

Oh wow, is it really that deep though? I mean yeah, finding a random galaxy in a corner of your photo is cool and all, but folks act like they just discovered a new planet. Its just a smudge on a picture. Bob showed you a streak. Its not like you solved anything. People get way too worked up over pixels. Unless you personally found the thing and identified it yourself, its just a fun little factoid.
