Had the worst week for capturing the moon - clouds every single night

Last Wednesday through Saturday, I tried four nights in a row to get a clean shot of the waxing gibbous moon from my backyard in Tucson. Every time I set up my telescope and camera, the clouds rolled in within 20 minutes like they were waiting for me. One night I even waited until 2 AM and still got nothing but haze. Anyone else have a week where the weather just refused to cooperate with your photo plans?

Got stuck in the exact same loop back in March. I finally checked the satellite maps on my phone every hour and noticed the clouds kept breaking up around 3:30 to 4 AM, so I set an alarm and dragged my gear out at that weird hour. Managed to get three sharp frames of the moon through a gap that only lasted about 10 minutes before it closed back up. Also started checking the Clear Sky Chart website for my exact coordinates instead of just the general forecast, that helped me pick the one clear window all week. Persistence is really the name of the game with this stuff, you just gotta find the pattern.
