Why does nobody tell you to ask questions in the frozen food aisle? A guy in Kalamazoo gave me the best tip
I was at a Meijer in Kalamazoo two weeks ago grabbing frozen pizza when an older guy next to me asked if I had ever tried the store brand. I said no and he told me to flip the box over and compare the factory code to the name brand one. Turns out they were made in the same plant, just a different box and about $3 cheaper. Now I check labels on everything before I buy it, and I have saved around $40 on groceries this month alone. Does anyone else do this, or is it just a Midwest thing?
