Vent: My uncle in Des Moines swore I could fix my freezer with a $6 part, and he was dead wrong
He watched me pull out a multimeter and laughed. Said the relay on the back of my 2011 Frigidaire always goes first, just swap it. So I dropped $6 at the appliance place on Ingersoll and spent a Saturday on my back in the kitchen. Two hours later, clicking noise, warm fridge, spoiled milk. Turned out the compressor was shot the whole time. The $6 part is still sitting in a ziplock bag on my workbench. Anyone else get a cheap fix tip that cost you way more in the end?
