TIL a neighbor said he asks 'What's the dumbest question you've gotten?' in job interviews

He said it shows how a candidate handles pressure and if they can explain things simply. Anyone have other good interview questions that actually tell you something real?

Honestly, these clever interview questions feel like a party trick. Most people just give a fake humble story about a small mistake. It doesn't really show how they handle a real crisis, like accidentally deleting a client's entire database. The pressure in a quiet room with a hiring manager is nothing like the pressure of a real mess at work.

My boss asks "Tell me about a time you were wrong," which really shows how people learn.

Great, now I'm mentally preparing a script for next time I screw up so I can sound like a well-adjusted adult who "learned from it." Nothing says authentic like rehearsing your mistakes in the car on the way to the interview lol.
