Thought daily journaling was pointless for 15 years, then I compared two notebooks side by side
I always thought keeping a journal was something only teenagers and therapists pushed on people. Then I dug out an old notebook from 2019 and put it next to the one I finished this spring, and the difference in how I wrote was night and day. In 2019 I wrote maybe 2 lines a day and most of it was just complaining about my job. The newer one had actual notes about what I ate, what I spent, and little things my kid said that I would've forgotten completely. My brother-in-law in Boise got me into it after he showed me his 4 notebooks from the past 2 years. Does anyone else track anything boring like this and actually stick with it past a few weeks?
