I finally got why my friend keeps talking about therapy
Had coffee with my buddy Jake last week and he said "you don't fix anxiety by pushing through it, you fix it by figuring out what's triggering it." Hit me different because I'd been running on fumes for months not realizing I was just ignoring stuff. Has anyone else had a friend say something that totally flipped how you see your own habits?

Your buddy Jake's line about "figuring out what's triggering it" really stuck with me. My friend Sarah once told me I treat my brain like a broken washing machine, just shaking and hoping it fixes itself. That dumb metaphor actually got me to stop ignoring the weird noises in my head for once.

Broken washing machine" is a perfect way to put it, @felixlee. Most people just keep slamming the lid and hoping for the best. Sometimes you gotta actually open it up and find the sock that's jamming the spin cycle.
