I asked my cat why she knocks things off the counter and got a better answer than from Google

I typed 'cat knocking things off table behavior' into a search bar and got a bunch of vague articles about boredom. Then I just looked at my cat, Mittens, and said 'Why?' out loud, and she immediately stared at a fly on the wall I hadn't even seen. Has anyone else gotten a real answer just by talking to their pet instead of looking it up?

Wait, your cat's name is Mittens too? That's wild! I just read Jessica's comment about her cat Mittens, and now you're saying yours is also named Mittens. What are the odds? Two Mittens in the same thread knocking stuff over. Maybe it's a name thing, like they're both destined to be little chaos agents.

Actually three Mittens now, because my sister's cat has the same name. It's a super common name for cats with white paws. They're all probably just bored and looking for attention.
