Hit 1000 followers on my music page and felt nothing for a week

I finally cracked 1000 followers on my little music sharing page last month. Everyone talks about that number like it changes everything. But honestly I didn't feel any different. My engagement stayed the same around 30 likes per post. I still get the same five people commenting. What really surprised me was how small that number feels once you hit it. I thought I'd feel like I made it but instead I just saw how far I still have to go. Has anyone else had that moment where a milestone just felt hollow?

Nah, 1000 is real. You just expected the wrong payoff.

You said "how small that number feels once you hit it" and that really hit home. I used to think milestones would feel huge, but this post made me realize how hollow they can be when nothing actually changes.

Wait, do you really think hitting a milestone is supposed to change your actual life overnight? I mean, I get where you're coming from @brian_rivera59, but maybe the problem isn't the number being hollow, just the expectation you had. For me, hitting 1000 subscribers felt more like a pat on the back for sticking with it, not a magic switch that makes everything different. The real payoff for me was looking back and seeing how much I learned and how many people actually clicked follow, not some big party. Maybe it's just me but those little moments along the way, like getting a nice comment or figuring out a better video, felt way more real than any number. So I guess I see it as more of a checkpoint than a finish line, you know?
