Hit 1000 followers on my art account and felt NOTHING for like 3 days
I spent 6 months grinding to 1000 followers on Instagram, posting every single night, and when I finally hit it last Thursday, I just stared at the screen and felt empty. Has anyone else had a milestone feel totally meaningless after all that effort?

yeah that whole "the grind doesn't matter once you get there" thing is real but I think you're looking at it wrong lol. hitting 1000 followers isn't really the point, the point was all those nights you spent posting and getting better at your art. the follower count is just a number that shows up after you already did the hard work. it's like finishing a video game and then being like "that's it?" when the credits roll. you already got what you needed from the experience itself, the number is just the receipt.

@seanlee that game analogy is perfect, I've learned way more from the late nights grinding than any follower milestone ever taught me.

My buddy @nathanj56 hit 50k subs on YouTube last month and he told me it felt hollow until he looked back at all the editing he'd done to get there. Those late nights were where he actually built his skills, the milestone was just the receipt for all that work.
