DAE ever stop and think why unsubscribing feels like solving a puzzle?
I mean, it finally hit me that they're banking on most people not having the patience to click through all those menus.

Wait, isn't some of that just basic security and legal stuff though? A couple of clicks to confirm you really meant it stops someone else from unsubscribing you as a prank. Those rules they have to follow can make the process look more cluttered than it needs to be, for sure. But I'd rather click "yes I'm sure" twice than lose a newsletter I actually wanted because of one misclick. Doesn't that make at least some part of the process fair?

My bank makes me click through five screens just to change my address.

Ugh, it's like a little maze designed to outlast my attention span. I swear I've given up and just marked emails as spam because the "are you sure?" page had one too many clicks. My laziness is basically their business model.
