Showerthought: spent 5 hours on a museum's online catalog looking for one pot because I typed the wrong century
I was trying to track down a specific Moche ceramic vessel I saw referenced at a museum in Lima, and I typed 200 AD instead of 200 BC into their search filter. That one keystroke sent me through 300 pages of results over 5 hours, and I only figured it out when I went back to the original paper and saw the date. In that time I found 4 other pots I now want to read about even more. Has anyone else done this with archaeology databases, and is there a trick for spotting these mistakes faster?
