Just hit 1000 tree removals without a major injury

I was looking through my old job logs last night and realized I'm at exactly 1,003 removals since I started my own outfit back in 2018. Not one ER visit or serious close call in that whole stretch, which honestly surprises me given how many sketchy dead oaks and storm breaks I've taken down. Any other solo guys keep a running count like this or am I just weird about tracking numbers?

Man thats wild that you kept track that long. I tried doing that with my own side work but lost count around 200 after I started mixing up job numbers in my phone notes. Cool that @christopher_wells4 brought up the title vs body thing cause honestly I didnt even notice the difference till he pointed it out. Most guys I know just go by feel and luck, not actual numbers. I had a buddy who claimed like 500 removals without a scratch then took a branch to the shoulder his next job. Numbers dont lie but they also dont predict the next bad day. You should probably round up to 1,005 just to keep the streak going in your head.

Rounding down to 1,000 is just cleaner for the title, it's not like I'm trying to hide the extra 3 removals lol. You're right that it's a solid record either way, but the exact count matters when you're keeping track over time. The title is for quick reading, the post body is for the real numbers, simple as that.
