Finally figured out why my pole pruner was binding up on every cut

For 2 years I thought it was just a dull blade, but a guy at a demo in Nashville pointed out I was cutting at the wrong angle (you know, too steep). Anyone else have a simple fix like that make you feel kinda dumb but stoked at the same time?

Have you ever spent two years blaming the tool when it was really your own goofy angle? I did the exact same thing with my chainsaw last summer. I was out there grinding away, cussing at the teeth not grabbing, and a buddy just casually said "hey, you're tipping it too far forward." Felt like a total bonehead, but man, the relief when it started cutting smooth was almost embarrassing. It's funny how the smallest tweak can make you question every other tool you own. I bet your pole pruner works like a dream now, right?

Totally get the "questioning every other tool" part, I heard a woodworker say once that most tool problems are actually user problems. Glad you got that pruner sorted, bet it feels like a whole new setup now.
