Debate: I spent $1,200 on a new battery-powered pole saw last season. Some days it feels like a lifesaver, other days I wish I'd just stuck with my gas one.

Right? Why do we always think the new thing will be perfect... my battery saw is great until it just... isn't.

Remember that feeling, @johnp98? It's the classic trade-off of convenience for power. You just can't beat a cord for real work.

Been there. The battery life is the real make or break. Keep your gas saw for the big jobs and use the electric one for quick cleanups. That way you aren't stuck waiting on a charge halfway through a project. Mixing tools based on the job saved me a ton of hassle.
