Vent: Found out a customer's 'leaky dishwasher' was a cup of water on the counter

Got a call last Tuesday from a woman in Arlington saying her dishwasher was flooding the kitchen. Drove 30 minutes, walked in, and she pointed at a puddle on the floor next to the counter. It was a half-full coffee mug she'd knocked over an hour earlier. She paid me $75 for the service call and didn't even apologize. Anyone else have a customer waste your time like that?

Walked in thinking I'd be knee deep in soapy water, found a dried up coffee puddle and a mug sitting there like a crime scene. Felt like I showed up to a house fire and they just wanted me to change a lightbulb. At least she paid the $75, which is more than I can say for the guy who had me drive 45 minutes to "fix" a garbage disposal that was just unplugged. I guess my dumbest waste-of-time story is still the lady who thought her fridge was broken because the ice maker was empty.

The garbage disposal one made me wince. At least you got paid though.
