Rant: That 'free' fridge install from the big box store - worth it or a headache?

I went with Lowe's install on a customer's side-by-side last week and they left the water line kinked so bad it leaked all over the floor. On the other hand, some guys swear by it for saving time. Are you letting the big stores handle installs or do you make them walk?

Kinda dramatic, a kinked line is a ten minute fix.

Same here. I've kinked a fuel line on my personal truck before and just bent it back smooth, good as new. If you've got a spare hour and a basic tool set, you're golden.
