I used to think those cheap universal dryer belts were fine, but a job in Boise last month changed my mind.

My uncle runs an appliance repair shop in Tacoma and he swears by the OEM belts now. He said those universal ones can stretch out faster, especially with heavy loads like towels. I had to replace a belt twice in one year on my old dryer before I switched. The real brand one has lasted three years so far, no issues. It’s worth the extra ten bucks.

So you're saying the cheap ones actually cost more?

My crew's van in Spokane had the same belt snap twice in six months. We finally got the real one and it's been quiet ever since.
