Found a leak in a fridge line that took me 2 hours to trace
It was a pinhole in the copper behind the compressor on a 5 year old Samsung, and I ended up just patching it with epoxy instead of replacing the whole line - has anyone else had luck with epoxy holding long term?

epoxy is a temp fix at best, that copper needs a proper braze.

Has anyone checked if this is a pressure line or a drain line? In my experience, a lot of people slap epoxy on a copper drain where it might actually hold for years because the pressure is basically zero. But if it's on a supply line with even 40 psi behind it, that epoxy is gonna pop loose the first time it gets hot from the water heater kicking on. I've seen it happen twice in old rentals where landlords tried to cheap out. So before you grab the torch, make sure you know what that pipe is actually carrying.

Yeah epoxy on copper is basically just asking for it to leak again later. I mean it might hold for a little while but you're just kicking the can down the road. Proper braze is the only way that joint actually lasts.
