Finished a Bosch dishwasher pump swap in under 20 minutes today

Been fighting with a bad circulation pump on this model for weeks, finally got the trick down after watching a guy in Portland show me a different way to pop the clips. Anyone else have a go-to model that just clicks after you figure out the right angle?

The first time I tried swapping a pump on a GE dishwasher I cracked the housing because I forced a clip the wrong way. Took me three tries and a trip to the parts store before I realized you gotta tilt the whole assembly at a 45 degree angle. Now I can do those in about 15 minutes flat, but the first few were a nightmare.

and honestly @avery_lopez that tilt trick is the exact kind of thing nobody tells you about until you've already messed something up. i did almost the same thing on a maytag washer pump a few years back, except i snapped a plastic tab clean off and had to epoxy it back together. looked like a hack job but it held for like 2 years before i finally replaced the whole machine. those little assembly angles are everything. once you learn them it turns a 2 hour headache into a quick job.

Funny how those little tricks only come to you after you've already turned a perfectly good part into a pile of plastic shards. My first dishwasher repair involved a clip that I apparently needed to push harder but also softer, ended up snapping it and spending an hour with a pair of pliers and some duct tape trying to convince it to stay. Now I could probably do the job blindfolded, but that first time definitely had me questioning if I should've just called a pro.
