Why I stopped using zip ties for everything on panel wiring
Used to zip tie every wire bundle tight as possible inside panels. Six months ago I had to trace a ground fault on a Vista 20p and spent 45 minutes cutting ties to follow the path. Now I use Velcro wraps and leave slack loops at every corner. Anyone else find zip ties make troubleshooting a nightmare?

Oh man, I read somewhere that a guy spent two hours cutting zip ties just to swap a single relay and swore them off forever. Velcro is the way to go, no question.

Nah, @eric723, you gotta be able to swap stuff without a battle. Two hours on zip ties is insane, but I'm curious - what's the longest you've ever had to fight with a harness or a panel just to get to something stupid like a blinker relay? I bet every mechanic has a horror story about that one bolt that took an hour lol. Velcro's cool until it gets all dusty and loses its grip too, though.
