Warning: I zip tied every wire bundle for 6 years until a service call in Dayton changed my mind
I used to zip tie every single wire bundle tight as a drum because that is what the old crew in Dayton taught me back in 2012, and it looked clean as hell on the walkthrough. Then I got called back to a panel 8 months later where the ties had pinched a zone wire against a stud, and I spent 3 hours chasing a ground fault that a velcro strap would have never caused. Now I only use velcro and loose service loops, so does anyone else here feel bad about all the panels they zip tied back in the day?
