Surprised by how many false alarms come from pet owners ignoring sensor height

I was reading through my logs from the last 6 months in Portland and found that over 40% of the false alarms I got called back for were from pet owners who mounted their motion sensors below 4 feet. The manuals all say 5 to 6 feet, but nobody reads them. I even had one customer argue with me that their cat could reach the sensor, which made no sense. Has anyone else noticed this pattern or do you just bake sensor placement into your quotes now?

Feel you on this one, it's a constant headache. I've started putting sensor height in bold right on the work order and still get people who think their 60-pound dog is gonna set off a ceiling unit. At this point I just add a line item for a second call out if they move it themselves, saves me the arguing.
