Panel beeped 3 times at 2am in an empty office in Tulsa, and I spent 45 minutes chasing a ghost
Got a call at 2am last Tuesday from a property manager in Tulsa. The alarm at their empty office was going off and the panel showed a fault on zone 4. I drove out expecting a bad door contact, but the zone was clear. Turned out a 12V backup battery in the can was so old it was shorting out and dragging the whole panel voltage down, which made the keypad throw random fault codes. Swapped the battery and it has been quiet for 9 days now. Anyone else run into a dead battery that faked a zone fault instead of just beeping?
