I thought those $8 stick-on window sensors were junk until a job in Mesa changed my mind
I used to roll my eyes at the cheap peel-and-stick contact sensors, always figured they would pop off in a month or the adhesive would give out in the heat. Then last spring I picked up a quick panel swap job in Mesa, and the homeowner had 6 of them still stuck tight after 4 summers on south-facing windows. I pulled one off to check the tape and it took some real prying, plus the gap tolerance was tighter than the wired stuff I usually grab. The guy said he paid $8 each on a whim and never touched them again. So what are you all using for hard-to-wire windows, or am I the last one to come around on these?
