Hit 200 residential installs yesterday and something felt off

I passed 200 installs yesterday but I'm starting to think home security is more about making people feel safe than actually being safe, especially with all these cheap wireless panels homeowners insist on. Has anyone else noticed how many alarms just get ignored by neighbors?

feeling safe" is exactly it man. I stopped fighting cheap panels and just made sure the monitoring was solid.

Makes you wonder why we don't all do that from the start.

Man that really hits home. It's kinda wild how we all have this instinct to overengineer the easy part and phone in the hard stuff. @aaronclark you're right, once I stopped worrying about the cheap panels and actually paid attention to the monitoring, everything just worked. It's the same with anything in life - people obsess over the shiny part but ignore the boring backbone that makes it all run. Like everyone wants a fast car but nobody wants to check the oil, you know? Once you accept that some stuff is just gonna be budget grade and focus on watching for problems before they blow up, the whole setup gets way less stressful.
