Ditched Honeywell for Qolsys on my last 4 installs in Phoenix

I've been doing residential alarm installs for about 3 years now and always used Honeywell panels. Last month I tried the Qolsys IQ Panel 4 on a 2200 sq ft house and it saved me almost an hour on programming alone. The wireless sensor pairing is way faster and the touchscreen interface is easier for old customers to figure out. Anyone else made the switch or still sticking with the older stuff?

And you're running the IQ 4 in Phoenix summers? That's bold, @the_avery. I figured the screen would cook or the glue would melt after a few July days. I'm still on the fence about switching because my older Honeywell panels are bulletproof in the heat, but the programming time savings you're talking about is real tempting. I spent 45 minutes just walking through a menu tree on a Vista 20p last week and wanted to throw it in the pool.

You messing with the IQ 4 out in that heat? The touchscreen holds up better than I expected. My boss made me swap to Qolsys last year and I'm not mad about it. Pairing sensors is stupid fast, way better than digging through Honeywell menus.
