Customer wanted a fake camera just for show, walked away with real one
Had a guy in a dive bar over the weekend bragging about his new security setup. Said he bought a dummy dome camera off Amazon for $18 just to scare off porch pirates. Told him false cameras work until they don't, like when someone actually tests it. He asked what I'd install for under $200, so I wired up a basic motion sensor unit with a siren pack in about 30 minutes. He tipped me $40 after seeing the neighbor's dog bolt at the test beep. Any of you ever talk someone out of a fake unit on the spot?
