Anyone installing motion sensors right at the corner of a hallway, stop doing that
I have torn out 4 of these setups in the past 6 weeks where the sensor sits right at a 90 degree corner and the thing trips every time a cat walks past the doorway across the hall. Mount it a few feet back and angle it down the run instead, since the corner kills your coverage zone. How are you all deciding placement when the homeowner wants it hidden no matter what?
Ugh, same here, pulled three last month where the sensor was staring right at the stairwell door and every dog set it off. I tell homeowners hiding it means putting it in the ceiling a few feet before the corner aimed down the hall, not jammed in the corner itself.
