Am I the only one who switched from drilling for every sensor wire to using adhesive channels?

For years, I'd drill a small hole for every single door contact wire, which took forever and left a mess. After a job in a historic Phoenix home where the owner freaked about the dust, I started using those plastic adhesive wire channels to run wires along trim. It's way faster and cleaner for retrofit jobs. Do you guys think this is a solid long-term fix, or will the adhesive fail in a few years?

They're the perfect band-aid for our ugly cord problem.

Oh man, those things are basically fancy plastic gutters for your cords. The Hannah is right, they're a total band-aid, but sometimes you just need to hide the mess fast. I tried painting mine to match the wall and it still looks like a weird bumpy stripe.
