Took me three hours to find a crack in a fuel line that was right in front of my face
Spent all afternoon chasing a pressure drop on a Cessna 172 at KMHT, swapped filters and everything, only to realize it was a hairline fracture right under a zip tie I had checked twice. Anyone else get tunnel vision and miss the obvious stuff for way too long?

Buddy of mine spent six hours reflashing an ECU before spotting one unplugged sensor wire.

Did he check the wiring diagram first or just dive into the software side out of habit? I've seen people spend hours chasing ghost codes when it turns out to be something dumb like a loose connector or a bad ground. The sensor wire thing seems like one of those "check the simple stuff first" moments in hindsight but it's easy to forget when you're already deep in the ECU menus. Was it an oxygen sensor or something else that was unplugged?
