Lost a fuel pump on a Cessna 172 during a ramp run in Fresno, and a rag saved my day
Was doing a quick preflight on a 172 last Tuesday when I heard the pump clicking funny and saw fuel dripping near the sump drain. Found the drain valve had a tiny piece of gasket stuck in it, so I pulled it with a pick and cleaned it with a lint free rag from my box. Anyone else keep a dedicated rag just for sump drains, or am I the only one who learned that the hard way?
