I was wrong about using a specific sealant on composite panels

For years, I stuck with a certain two-part epoxy for any composite patch work, thinking it was the only thing that held up. Last month, a job on a Citation in Phoenix had me use a new polysulfide sealant the shop manager insisted on. The difference after just two weeks of desert heat was huge. The old epoxy always showed tiny stress cracks, but this stuff stayed completely flexible and sealed. Has anyone else switched sealants and seen a real change in how long a repair lasts?

Ever notice how we stick with old tools just because they're familiar? Your post is a perfect example of how a small change can fix a big, stubborn problem.

Switching tools is just a five minute learning curve.

Five minute learning curve" feels way off to me, and I get what @murphy.linda is saying about sticking with old tools.
