Had a choice between a $1200 torque wrench with a digital readout or a $350 analog one for a Cessna 172's engine mount job. Went analog and it's been solid for 3 years now.

My buddy bought the fancy digital torque wrench for his shop. The display died after two months from vibration, but the old click-type one he kept as a backup is still going. Sometimes the simple tool is just the right tool.

My digital one failed too, so oliviagrant has a point.

Ever think the digital one was just a bad brand? My snap-on digital has taken years of shop abuse.
