An old timer in Kansas City called my torque wrench technique lazy

He watched me do a wheel change on a 172 and said 'You're just going for the click, not the feel.' I started checking my wrenches with a tester every month and actually paying attention to the bolt stretch. How many of you still use a beam wrench to keep your technique honest?
