Tried to air fry a whole apple and it turned into a sweet, soft surprise

I had a couple of apples getting soft on the counter and figured I'd try something different. I cored one, left the skin on, and put it in the air fryer at 375 for about 15 minutes. It came out all puffed up and tender, like a baked apple but faster. The inside was warm and almost like applesauce. Has anyone else tried cooking whole fruit like this?

Just make sure @kaid59 picks a really firm pear...

Yeah, a firm pear is key or it'll just turn to mush. I learned that the hard way. What temp did you run your air fryer at?
