Showerthought: I tried air frying a whole apple with cinnamon and it turned into a weird mess...

I poked a Granny Smith apple a few times, sprinkled cinnamon inside, and ran it at 380 for 25 minutes like I saw online. It didn't get soft, it just kind of burst and made a sticky, burnt sugar pool in the basket. Has anyone actually made a baked apple work in the air fryer without this happening?

Disagree, my air fryer nails whole potatoes every time. Maybe check your settings, @patriciareed.

Slice it first, the skin traps steam and pressure until it explodes.
