My $20 mistake with frozen onion rings

I bought a big bag of a store brand from my local Kroger, thinking they would crisp up fine. After two tries at 400 degrees for 10 minutes, they came out soggy and burnt in spots. I had to throw the whole bag out. Has anyone found a frozen brand that actually works well in the air fryer?

Alexia brand has been solid for me, just shake the basket halfway through. Did you try a lower temp for longer?

Oh man, soggy fries are the worst! I had that happen with a store brand last week. I did what @the_avery said and went super hot, like 400 the whole time, shaking a lot. They came out way crispier. Maybe the high heat just blasts the moisture out faster? Lower temps always seem to steam them in my basket.

What temp did you set your air fryer to? I had the same problem with a cheap bag, but I found cranking it to 425 and giving the basket a good shake every few minutes works way better. The extra heat seems to fight off the sogginess.
