I finally tried making a grilled cheese in the air fryer after my sister swore by it

I mean, I was sure it would just dry out the bread, but I did 370 degrees for 6 minutes and it was perfect. The outside got super crispy and the inside was totally melted, way better than my usual pan method. Has anyone else found a sandwich that works this well in there?

Yeah, that ham and cheese at 350 is my go-to too.

What about a basic ham and cheese melt? I do mine at 350 for 8 minutes and the cheese gets properly gooey without the bread turning into a cracker.

Ugh, this whole debate is exactly why people can't agree on anything. Everyone's convinced their specific method is the only right way, from sandwich temps to how to load a dishwasher. It's all about control and thinking your tiny habit is a universal rule. Thea's way works for her, Noah's way works for him, but they'll both argue forever that the other one is wrong. It's just melted cheese and bread, people.

That's way too low and slow for me. You get a much better melt if you crank the heat. I go for 400 degrees and just watch it close. The bread gets a perfect crisp and the cheese bubbles up fast. A lower temp just steams the bread and makes it soggy. High heat for a shorter time is the only way to do it right.
