I bought a fancy air fryer cookbook and barely used it

A couple years back, I spent about $25 on a glossy hardcover book full of air fryer recipes. It looked great, but the recipes were way too complicated for a weeknight. I think I tried maybe three things from it before it just sat on my shelf. Most of the time, I just throw some chicken thighs or frozen veggies in there with a simple spice rub. Has anyone else found that the best air fryer meals are the simple ones you figure out yourself?

What even makes a recipe "air fryer specific"?

Sandra's got a point, half those books are just regular oven recipes with 400 degrees and 10 minutes written on them. IDK, maybe it's just me but if it doesn't account for the smaller basket size and faster cook time it's not really "air fryer specific.

My crew found a stack of those books in a kitchen during a move last month. Sandrajackson, an air fryer recipe just means they tell you a temp and time so you don't burn it. I use mine for basics like pork chops at 400 for 12 minutes, flipping halfway. The fancy books overcomplicate a tool that's best for simple, fast food.
