Got a bag of frozen chicken wings stuck in my air fryer basket last Sunday
I was making dinner for my kid's birthday party and had 3 pounds of frozen wings. Threw them in the basket at 400 degrees without shaking them halfway through. They fused together into this solid brick of chicken and I had to chisel them out with a butter knife. My daughter's friend's mom saw the whole thing and just goes "that's not how you're supposed to do it, is it?" Has anyone else had a total air fryer fail moment where you felt like an idiot in front of someone?

Man the exact same thing happened to me with a bag of Tyson wings for my son's sleepover last month. I tried to pry them apart with a spatula and ended up flinging a hot chicken brick across the kitchen right as my neighbor walked in to grab her kid. She just stood there watching me scrape burnt skin off the counter with a paper towel. I left the basket soaking in soap for two days and still had to use a screwdriver to break the thing apart.

Oh man, that half-cooked chicken missile flying across the room while your neighbor watches is exactly the kind of nightmare that sticks with you for years. I had a similar thing with a frozen lasagna last Thanksgiving where I tried to cut through the middle and the whole thing exploded into a red sauce volcano all over my white cabinets. My wife still brings it up every time someone mentions pasta. That screwdriver method is honestly genius though, I ended up just smashing my air fryer basket against the driveway like a caveman and had to buy a new one from Walmart the next day. These frozen foods act like they're welded together with super glue and it drives me nuts.
