Can we talk about basket shaking vs. no shaking for fries?

I tested frozen fries side by side in my air fryer last Sunday. Shaking them halfway gave me way crispier results compared to the batch I left alone, no contest. Anyone else have a preference or a specific method they swear by?

Whoa, wait, you actually tested it back to back? That's dedication right there. I'm honestly shocked you found such a clear difference, I always just shake them because I'm impatient and want to flip them around. Now I feel like I have to go buy two bags of fries and do my own science experiment this weekend. What brand of frozen fries did you use for your test?

Felixlee, you're acting like this is the most important culinary breakthrough of the decade. I just shook some fries because I was bored standing at the counter. The unshaken batch looked sadder, sure, but they still got eaten. It's frozen fries from a bag, not a gourmet meal. People act like this is life or death.
